Dear Motherland Family,

I want to send a hearty and sincere THANK-YOU to everyone who attended and performed (and helped in any way) to make last Saturday's Mandingo Night party such a resounding success! The elders who attended and the ancestors were honored by the younger generation and it was a fun celebration. Those who didn't participate missed out on some very special performances. Let's do it again next year!

PS: This coming Saturday the 21st, we'll be celebrating our dear Baba Ayo Adeyemi's 70th BIRTHDAY! You know the place... Motherland Music in Culver City. The party will take place from 4:30 until. There will be some catered food and you're also welcome to bring something good to add to the Pot Luck table. Don't forget your drum!
