Kpoko-Kpoko
Each Kpoko-Poko rattle is hand carved by one of the finest woodworkers in eastern Nigeria. It is not traditionally used as a musical instrument, but as more of a tool by herbalists and in masquerade dances. In herbalist shrines it is used when consulting an Oracle. During an herbalist's prayer for someone, his servant may rattle the Kpoko-Kpoko. Usually has very-symbolic herbalist's carvings. Most Kpoko-Kpokos are Double-Bell. We also carry some nice Single-Bell Plain (undecorated) Kpokos in the 8" l. size.
