The kids have been working hard. They have Three Selections of Rhythm and Song to play for your enjoyment. The rhythms are from Africa, Brazil, and the Americas, with some touches of (my) humor added for good measure. The concert on Saturday, January 31st 4-6 p.m. is free, totally cool, and casual. Free parking is available in our lot and there is also plenty of space directly across La Cienega (Tomys Restaurant is no more).

We’re already planning our upcoming and ongoing Youth Classes which will culminate in future performances; please email me to sign your family up! We’re presently adding a new youth class on a day and time to be determined.

Remember:

Including the exploration of rhythms (especially the diverse rhythms we teach here) in your child's life opens their imagination to exciting new possibilities for their musical life just as it helps them to develop skills that will serve them long-term in the real world. Rhythm permeates every aspect of our lives—either we tune in and work with the rhythms or not. I’m glad that you have the wisdom to give your young ones the gift of a music education, and I will continue to try to inspire and (with your support) to train them in drumming.

Let's continue to inspire the young people—and let’s ALL get drumming! Drumming is good for the soul.
