Motherland Music is located in Culver City, about midway between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Beverly Hills. We have a retail showroom, a drum repair workshop and a class/performance space. We are open daily: Monday - Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 5 p.m. Drum classes usually end at 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday (and we remain open for sales then, too). Everyone is welcome to stop by and check things out. Motherland Music has one of the best selections of African Drums and small percussion for sale anywhere. We offer hands-on instruction for learning traditional rhythms on most of the drums. We also have books, CDs, and DVDs for learning how to play or how to fix your djembe. We do not have online ordering at this time.
